I am working on this pattern from ravelry. I already made one for Alina, the toddler…
I made a few mistakes along the way, some corrected, some not. She doesn’t mind. Now I am ready to tackle the next sweater.
This next one is a size 9 for my growing Sita. I love this pattern because even though I have been knitting for over a year now, I am still an “insecure” knitter. In other words, I get nervous when I make a mistake. I can usually correct it, but I often still fumble through.
This pattern is easy, and knits up quick. It is knit in the round from the neck down, and there is no finishing (which I really, really don’t enjoy).
The yarn is Caron Simply Soft acrylic. I hate to be a yarn snob, but I do really prefer wool blends. After having worked with the wool blends I find it difficult to handle the rougher synthetics. BUT, this yarn is machine washable and it was on sale. Sometimes I have to be practical and frugal. Besides, when I am a more confident knitter, I will commit myself to the more expensive yarns. : )
